Web jobs scams

Many people are living without a job as the economy is going down. When the regular job market becomes difficult, those looking for work turn to other avenues to find employment.  One of the most popular areas to search these days is online.  There are people who are earning a lot from the online jobs and so are concentrating on the online jobs for a full time basis. As a result it has become a hot spot for the scammers.

Some websites were created to monitor online scams. It was found out that scammers have come up with around 550 fake sites to deceive people.  Most of those were in the US.   Now it is 2012. Do you have an idea how many more have come up now?

If you are looking for work online how will you be able to detect a fake site?  Are there telltale signs to keep you safe?

Most of the online scammers are difficult to detect. They understand the mindset of the jobseekers very well. A lot of professional copywriters, graphic designers and even fake reviews are provided to deceive the people.  They can even take over legitimate web sites.

There are some telltale signs that you can look for.  Begin by looking at the website itself.  Does it look right? Is everything looking fine? Check the originality of the email. Is It from a corporate domain rather that a popular provider, such as Gmail, or yahoo?  Is there something that just doesnÕt seem right about the site?  Are they using popular web names to attract your attention, yet the use is illegitimate? Do they sound a bit strange?

Try to collect more information about the company in BobBear.co.uk. Look for any information regarding the site. Does the company you are checking appear fake here?

If the company is asking about your personal details then it expected to be a scam.
If the company tries to convince you about their legality then they are not legal at all.

If you are going to get a job online, you want to make sure you do your homework.  Legitimate companies only need your name and email to begin with.  Check online scam websites such as BobBear.co.uk for trouble.

Follow these steps to make your search for jobs easier and safer at the same time. Before filling up online forms always make sure to have a thorough check.
